The seatstays are dropped low, which creates a stiffer and smaller rear triangle, though they are quite narrow in profile to bring a bit of compliance to the seat tube. Yes you can. The lower half of the frame is all about stiffness, but other tubes have been slimmed down to create more compliance. It's no more faff to get a bike off a trainer than it is to take the back wheel in/out for any other reason. Giant also provides the wheels, as it does on the majority of its bikes. A quality carbon frame needs to offer performance in one plane, stiffness and power transfer, and comfort in another; different parts of the whole frame have their own jobs. The math shows us that weight doesn’t really affect speed all that much, but it unquestionably affects feel. It works better than any mechanical system we’ve used, but not as well as a fully hydraulic system. A composite fork eats up bumps, and the D-Fuse seatpost and handlebar combination absorb shocks and vibrations. The Giant website says this is a MegaExo pressfit BB – it is not. The Crosscuts are 38mm wide (the Giant will take 45mm max) and I found that to be fine in all of the conditions I tried them in. The Sora nine-speed cassette is not light. The Revolt is built around an aluminum frame. After returning from my first ride on the Giant Revolt Advanced 2, I couldn't believe it weighs nearly 10kg as it felt so light and agile off-road. In an effort to prevent toe overlap, the three smallest sizes get a 70.5-degree head tube angle and 75 mm of trail and the three largest sizes get a steeper 71-degree head tube angle and 71.6 mm of trail. If so was it a problem? Rear shift actuation feels virtually identical to more expensive groups. Want more gravel? It is not designed to be the best bike it can possibly be; it is designed to be the best bike it can be at a very specific, and very low, price. Can you get a good gravel bike for $1,000?
